David Baxter has over 15 years experience in consumer, market, and industry
research and analysis. Mr. Baxter's expertise on the age wave phenomenon
spans from financial services and healthcare to publishing and media, and he
has overseen numerous highly acclaimed research and consumer segmentation
studies exploring and uncovering unique market opportunities created by the
growth of the age 50+ population.
As Vice President, Research at Age Wave, Mr. Baxter leads comprehensive
strategy and research studies that enable clients to initiate market positioning
strategies, market entry plans, public relations and marketing campaigns, and
salesforce development efforts to fully capitalize on current and impending
demographic trends. Recent examples of Mr. Baxter's research projects include
the "Re-Visioning Retirement Study," a groundbreaking study of the past, present,
and future of retirement, whose landmark findings were featured on 60 Minutes
and in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week and U.S. News
and World Report; the "Envisioning Tomorrow's Aging-Ready Healthcare System Study,"
through which Age Wave is collaborating with Meridian Health to craft a composite
of best practices of leading providers nationwide in a wide range of aging-related
healthcare services; and "The New Employee/Employer Equation Study," which includes
a national survey of 5,000 employees from all industries/sectors to identify and
analyze which elements of the "employee deal" appeal to each segment in the nations'
increasingly diverse workforce.
Prior to joining Age Wave, Mr. Baxter was an Intelligence Officer at the Central
Intelligence Agency, where he orchestrated intelligence collection efforts and briefed
key decision makers in the departments of Commerce, Treasury and State on strategic

Alto based high technology consulting firm providing strategy, industry analysis,
partnership development, and capital raising services with a focus on developing
synergies between Asian corporations and Silicon Valley technology companies. Mr.
Baxter received his M.B.A. at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his B.A.
