Editorial Projects

Ken Dychtwald serves as editorial director for a timely and unique quarterly series in the New York Times Magazine entitled “Empowered Living.” This exciting series was designed to inform, motivate, and empower New York Times readers in their Power Years-and to give advertisers an important opportunity to connect and build business with these wealthy, educated, influential consumers.

Topics have included recreating and liberating yourself in your new leisure time, learning lessons about inheritance and leaving a legacy, rejuvenating and rolling back the clock, eating for your heart, improving your cash flow by saving more money from taxes, getting your family’s finances in good shape, and bridging the multigenerational gap in your own families.

Ken Dychtwald was selected by Forbes magazine to serve as the “Personal Finance Pro” for an integrated print and online marketing program sponsored by Buick Lucerne entitled “Precision Planning.” This innovative program was designed to offer readers and web site visitors valuable information in four key areas: personal finance, travel, golf, and food and wine.

In collaboration with Daniel J. Kadlec, Dr. Dychtwald conceptualized and developed the content for this 12-month campaign. Topics have included: reinventing work, financing retirement, understanding new options for retirement living, and finding ways to have fun and tap into your passions to make the most out of your life.
